Overview

This 3 Days safari to Udzungwa and Mikumi is ideal safari for the experience Game Safari & Hiking. The Udzungwa Mountains National Park is a sumptuous forested reserve, a rare tropical forest that is home to a realm of unique plants, birds and animals & the sacred preserve of hikers and walkers. The park is a home of an important population of primates (10 species- more than in any of Tanzania’s other parks) as well as the grey faced sengi.

Mikumi’s landscape provides a serene wildlife experience, commonly seen animals like Impalas, Elephants, Giraffes, Zebras, Antelopes, Wildebeests, Elands, Crocodiles, Hippos, Baboons. If luck is in your favor, you won’t miss to see Lions and Leopard. Mikumi inhabits over 300 species of birds namely saddle bill stork, hammer kop, malachite kingfisher, lilac breasted roller, yellow throated long claw, battler eagle etc.

Itinerary

Day 1

Dar es Salaam – Mikumi National Park (6 hrs drive)

We leave Dar es Salaam early morning and drive to Mikumi with lunch box. Late afternoon game drive with sunset view & watch the animal’s drinking water at hippo pool. Dinner and Overnight at the camp in Mikumi on FB basis.

Day 2

Mikumi to Udzungwa to Mikumi Park (1 hr drive)

After breakfast, drive to Udzungwa for hiking till Sanje Falls with lunch box. Enjoy swimming at the in the cool water hole at the base of the falls. Drive to Mikumi. Overnight at Camp in Mikumi on FB basis.

Day 3:

Mikumi National Park - Dar es Salaam (6 hrs drive)

Half-day game drive in Mikumi and later in daytime drive back to Dar with lunch box & drop off to Hotel, Airport/ Seaport (Breakfast & Lunch).
